wHAT IS mUAY THAI ?
Muay Thai is a Martial art/combat sport which derives from Thailand. It is a striking discipline that also makes use of some devastating clinching techniques to subdue their aggressor. Muay Thai is gobally known as “the art of eight limbs” because it uses not only two limbs (boxing), not only 4 limbs (most traditional martial arts)….It uses 8 limbs which are the fists, the elbows, the knees, and the shins (and feet) which in all combined with an excellent blend of physical fitness and mental toughness creates strong and superior athletes, which is why Muay Thai has long been regarded as one of the most efficient striking martial arts and self defense tool in the world.
What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport that emphasizes grappling on the ground. Founded by the Gracie family ,the theory is that a weaker, smaller person can subdue an bigger aggressor by using techniques that rely strongly on leverage and various chokeholds and Joint locks as well as other joint manipulations. On the ground there are no other martial arts that come close to matching the efficiency of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Also known as “BJJ”).
